The majority of work done in Panthertown Valley is provided by volunteers such as yourself! Over 1,000 volunteer hours were logged in 2011 alone. We host monthly clean-ups in the valley and maintain the official trail system as needed. Community support is essential and dedicated volunteers are crucial to our success.
The Friends also maintain and repair structures in Panthertown, we installed the official trail markers, placed bulletin boards at the trail-heads, provide tools for trail maintenance, and with your help, work on building our organization and educating the public on forest stewardship issues. These things cost money to do, and your financial help is needed.
Friends of Panthertown projects rely on funding from memberships, private donations and foundation grants. We could sure use your help!
Projects have also been funded in part by grants received from these organizations:
National Forest Foundation
Community Assistance Program Grant
Division of Parks and Recreation
North Carolina Department of Environment and Natural Resources
Adopt-A-Trail Grant
National Recreational Trails Program Grant
Additional information will be coming soon.
All donations and memberships are appreciated. Have you consider giving a Memorial Gift or Honor Gift to benefit the Friends of Panthertown?
