The Jackson-Macon Conservation Alliance has announced the dates for its third annual Green Living Fair. Events are scheduled for Friday June 25th, in Cashiers, and Saturday June 26th, in Highlands, and include many new vendors and special events. In the past, the Green Living Fair has served as an attraction for both the environmentally concerned and those looking for a great way to spend the day. This year promises to be even better, with entertainment, green home & garden tours, hikes, demonstrations, kids’ projects, and a host of other options for the whole family!
Your attendance helps put our communities on the map as leaders of the “Green Living” movement in N.C. Adult ticket – $5 (15 and under free) covers admission for BOTH days and includes a home and garden tour. Purchase tickets on event days.
Opening Event
Friday June 25th 4 pm
Cashiers Village Green ~ Cashiers, NC (main intersection of U.S Hwys. 107 & 64)
Music, food, “eco” fashion show, hikes on the Village Green pathways & Cashiers Merchants Walk, and Jeff Zahner of Chattooga Gardens discussion on native plants. Also, Cashiers Village Council will share future visions for Cashiers.
Followed by “Groovin on the Green” music show.
Main Event
Saturday June 26th 10 am – 4 pm
An exhibition hall full of vendors showcasing their environmental wares and services, talented artisans with earth-friendly hand-made crafts and jewelry. Fantastic food offered from Fressers Restaurant & Cyprus with the added attraction of Cyprus chef Nick Figel demonstrating healthy cooking skills. Live music and interactive booths and demonstrations round out the excitement inside. In addition, there will be booths and fun outside! Click here for a descriptive list of vendors.
