Trail Work & Hike in Panthertown

Everyone is welcome. No previous trail work experience is necessary.

We will be doing trail corridor clearing and trail tread / drainage work while hiking in Panthertown.

Trail tools, hard hats, gloves, and safety glasses are provided. Bring water and a lunch. Wear long pants and sturdy shoes / boots.

9am – 2pm. Meet at Salt Rock Gap.

RSVP is recommended.

The trails in Panthertown always need a little maintaining to keep them clear for visitors to the Valley. We sure could use your help because there’s lots to do! So grab your work gloves, lace up your hiking boots, and join us at one of the upcoming public Friends of Panthertown trail work days.

For more information on volunteering or to receive updates on our forest stewardship projects, please send an e-mail to friends@panthertown.org with your interests. We will give you all the details you need to join us on the trails.

If you have a group or organization that would like to work on trails as a service project or to Adopt-A-Trail, please give us a call at (828) 269-HIKE (4453) or send an e-mail, we can arrange a special day in Panthertown for your group.
