Summer is officially here and trail volunteers are needed this weekend on Saturday, June 29, 2013 to help maintain some of the most popular trails in Panthertown Valley. Weather permitting, Friends of Panthertown volunteers will meet on Saturday morning and hike in to maintain the public trails and enjoy a day of forest stewardship with others who also love Panthertown. In case of rain the work day will be rescheduled.

Volunteers are needed this Saturday
Volunteers should meet at the Salt Rock Gap trailhead at the end of Breedlove Road in Cashiers at 9:30AM. Trail tools and instructions will be provided and new volunteers of all ages and skill levels are always welcome. This is a great opportunity to enjoy Panthertown with other community members! The group expects to hike less than 3 miles on easy to moderate trails and be done by 2:30PM. Trail volunteers are asked to pack a lunch, bring plenty of water, wear good shoes, and bring a pair of work gloves and pruners if you have them (some will also be available to loan out).Friends of Panthertown
